Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Contender (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and at least 21 (or the legal gambling age where you live, if higher) to use the Service in connection with any wager.

Contender is an analytics tool. It computes projections, historical rates and probability estimates for NBA player props and parlays from publicly available game data.

Contender is not a sportsbook. We do not accept, place, broker or settle wagers, and we have no relationship with any sportsbook or fantasy operator.

Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, legal or betting advice. Estimates can be wrong, data can be delayed or corrected, and past results do not predict future outcomes. You are solely responsible for any decision you make, including any wager.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, resold or used to provide the Service to others.

We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the Service, including automated scraping, attempts to bypass usage limits, or interference with other users.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe at the price shown at checkout, and renew automatically until cancelled.

You can cancel at any time from Account → Manage billing. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

If a payment fails, access may continue briefly while the payment is retried, then revert to the Free plan. Usage limits for each plan are shown on the Pricing page and in your account.

You keep ownership of the notes, stakes and odds you enter. You grant us permission to store and process them to provide the Service to you (for example, to grade saved picks and compute your dashboard).

Game schedules and box scores come from stats.nba.com and are ingested, validated and versioned by Contender. Contender is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NBA or any team. Odds and payouts are only what you enter.

Do not reverse engineer, overload or attack the Service, resell its output, or use it in violation of any law, including gambling laws where you live.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Contender is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any losses from wagers or other decisions made using the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We may update the Service and these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date; continued use after that means you accept the updated Terms.
